Pregnancy Update - 23 Weeks and Counting

So as you know we are expecting our first little boy on May 24th. We are so ready for him to be here and can't wait to meet him. I think I have experienced all pregnancy symptoms including morning sickness, heartburn, back pain and the list goes on and on. Luckily, the morning sickness has passed but I am still suffering from the back pain and heartburn pretty bad. I had acid reflux before pregnancy so now that I am pregnant it has just gotten worse...BOO!! It is all worth it though. Scott and I are always talking about how he will be when he is here. Here are some pics of my growing belly at 23 weeks:

January...so far

So the whole reason I decided to start this blog was I thought it would be a great way to keep track on what is happening in our lives, and I have always wanted to journal but was never motivated. This seems so much easier. So we will see how I do. Also, a girl in my ward was telling me how she blogs and then at the end of the year she takes it and turns it into a journal/scrapbook through a website. It just seemed like a great thing that we could make for our children. Thanks Lindy for the idea!!

So on the 8th, Scott celebrated his 28th birthday. He is catching up to me, haha. I love when its his birthday because for 2 months we are only a year apart. It makes me feel younger, haha. He went with some friends to Vegas and had a blast.  On the 10th, we went to the doctor for my 20 week ultrasound. It was so great to see our boy again. We saw him moving around and his little heart beating fast. He looks so cute already. He is measuring a week early so he is either going to come sooner than we think or he is going to be a bigger baby. Doctor said his heartbeat sounded good and everything was going just as planned, which was great news to hear. On the 15th we celebrated our second wedding anniversary. It is crazy how time flies by. We celebrated by going to dinner at the Orange County Mining Co. It is one of our favorite places to go and we only go on special occasions. We topped it off by watching our wedding DVD. It brought back so many memories and feels just like yesterday. I can't lie...I totally cried watching it.We were going to try and take a trip to celebrate, but with the baby coming we are trying to save all the money we can, so we decided as a present to both of us we are going to buy the baby some new furniture for his room. He is going to be one lucky boy. We are hoping to take a small trip before the baby comes though. Also with the baby coming we are trying to decide where and when we will be moving. We are hoping to buy possibly a small house or condo but we will have to wait and see what the future holds. So far everything is going great and we hope you are all doing great too.

2011 - A Year in Review

Since this is my first post on this blog and since last year was such a big year for us, I thought I would let you all know what has been going on.

***In January, we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate by taking a vacation to Colorado to visit some friends we have out there. It was so great to see David, Lindsay, and Tyler and we did so many fun things like tubing, ice skating, and going to Blackhawk (small casino town). It was a great way to celebrate a milestone in our relationship.

***In June, we decided to make a change and moved to Brea. We had always wanted to move here because we really like the area. We moved into another one bedroom and it has been a blessing to be closer to work. We hope to be able to stay somewhat close to the area but with a baby on the way we will just have to wait and see.

***Over Labor Day weekend  we took another short trip to Laughlin with my cousin Tanya and her husband Tim.We went shopping, dancing and lots of laying out by the pool. It was so much fun and can't wait for the next vacation we take together.

***In September, after a year of trying and many tests later we finally found out we were expecting. We were overjoyed by the news. I am not sure who was more excited Scott or me. Also, my cousin Tanya, who had been trying to get pregnant as well, found out she was expecting twins. Our babies are only going to be like a month apart in age. So EXCITING!!

***In  December, we celebrated our second Christmas married. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by family at such a special time of the year. I think the baby in my belly got more presents than Scott and myself, haha. Also, right before Christmas we got the exciting news that the baby growing inside me is a BOY!! We are so excited and cannot wait to meet him.

Sorry this post is sooo long but just wanted to let everyone know what went on last year. Now here's a few pictures to show how 2011 was for us. Hope last year was as great and blessed for you as it was for us.
