Hello!! Can you believe it, Hunter is 12 weeks old. It seems like he was just born yesterday and the last 3 months have just flown by. He is growing bigger and bigger everyday, and we fall more in love with him everyday. Tonight he was laying on the changing table while I was grabbing his PJ's and was just cooing away, so I went over to him and started talking back. I told him "I Love You Hunter" and he just gave me the biggest grin. It melted my heart and I just started tearing up and crying. It was the first time I knew with out a shadow of a doubt that he loved me just as much as I love him. I don't think anything will ever top that feeling. It is days like this that outweigh and make me forget all the days he is fussy and gets up in the middle of the night, haha :) He is beginning to coo alot more at us and is such a ball of energy. We have found out that he loves watching Disney Sing Along videos on You Tube. He just kicks his legs and moves around like crazy when watching them. It's the funniest thing. I also think he is on the verge of rolling from his back to his stomach. When laying on the floor he gets pretty far on his side just can't figure out how to get all the way over. We will just have to wait and see.
I start back to work in 6 days and I am getting sadder by the day. The only thing making me feel slightly better is knowing that he will be with my mom and not a stranger. He loves his Nana so I know he will love spending his days there, I just hope he doesn't forget about me :( I know everything will be fine and I will just spend all my evenings and weekend time with him. Hopefully someday in the future, we will make enough money that I will be able to work either part-time or be a stay at home mom. Can't wait for that day to come.
Scott is being a great dad and has taken on the task of bath duty in the evenings. It is so cute to watch Hunter watching Scott. Its the sweetest thing to watch. Scott is so gentle and makes sure to clean him so well. It is also funny to watch Hunter splash Scott with the water. He has figured out if he kicks his legs it makes big splashes and he thinks that is really funny.
Hunter likes:
- Splashing Daddy with the water in his bathtub.
- Watching Winnie the Pooh on YouTube.
- Sleeping with his flannel blankets.
Hunter Does Not Like:
- Getting his diaper changed.
- Getting out of the bathtub.
- That mommy is going back to work (ok maybe this is my dislike, but I can sense he doesn't want me to go either, haha)
NOTE: Some of the pictures below are from a housewarming party we attended for Scott's cousin Annie (You should see their new house, BEAUTIFUL). Also, there are some from Sunday Funday
with my family where we celebrated my mom's birthday with homemade funnel cakes (DELICIOUS) and from our Red Robin lunch date to celebrate my mom's birthday as well. We are soooo
lucky to be loved by so many people :)
