My Birthday - The Good and The Bad

So I still can't believe I am officially 30 years old. I still feel like a teenager sometimes. Although I had been dreading this day for the last couple of years, I have so much to be thankful for in my life, that I can feel nothing but happiness :) I have a great family, great job, great husband, and now a baby on the way. My actual birthday started off great, my mom and sister decorated my car and stole me from work and took me to lunch, and my wonderful husband brought me beautiful flowers to my work and made me feel so special. Also, when I got to work (I am trying not to take vacation due to the baby coming) my boss had decorated my cubicle and brought me a yummy cake and flowers. The first half of my day was wonderful, but unfortunately when I got home it got alot worse. Charlie had gotten sick and went to the bathroom all over the house. Not only that but we could tell something was really wrong with him, so we had to cancel our plans with my family to go to Farrell's (I have been wanting to go there since it opened down the street) and had to take Charlie to the Pet ER. To make a long story short, lots of tears, lots of tests, and 600 dollars later, we found out that Charlie had Gastroenteritis (which is a severe inflammation of the stomach and intestines). I ended up having to take the next day off and take him to the vet and get him some more antibiotics. We were supposed to go to San Diego over the weekend but at this point  we weren't sure if that was going to happen. Luckily by Saturday afternoon, Charlie was doing alot better, so we decided to go to San Diego at least for the night, just so the room we booked didn't go to waste. Boy, am I glad we did!! Scott booked us a beautiful room. It was probably one of the nicest hotels we stayed at. Then we had a very nice dinner at PF Changs, so yummy!! Then we took a little walk and got some yogurt from Scott's favorite YogurtLand. Then we just relaxed and watched TV and cuddled the rest of the evening. It was just a nice change from all the drama and emotion from the previous 2 days. On Sunday, we slept in and went for a great lunch at this cool burger place called SmashBurger. Probably one of the best burgers I have had, and I love burgers. Although, it was less than 24 hours, it was nice that we were able to have some time together, especially since we probably won't have many more of these moments once the baby comes. Also, the next time we go away we will have a baby in tow :) I just love Scott so much and when we have times like this weekend it just shows me how lucky I am to have him in my life, not just now but forever <3 Also, I will get to go to Farrell's...my sister's birthday is on Tuesday so we are all going as a family to celebrate both our birthdays. You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream for ICE CREAM!!

Baby Update - 31 weeks

Hey everyone...So I have baby update. I am getting pretty big and feeling him move around all the time. Sometimes I think his foot or arm are going to come right out of my stomach, haha :) Went to the doctor last Wednesday and everything is looking good. I am still measuring big so they are having me come in for another ultrasound in two weeks to do another set of measurements on the baby. If he is a bigger baby they may consider doing a C-section. Hopefully it doesn't come to that. I think I just have excess fluid but we will just have to wait and see. Doctor says his heartbeat was good and everything else was looking good. Scott and I are also going for a maternity tour of the hospital on May 2nd, which is exciting. Also, my baby shower is coming up on April 14th. Can't wait to see the stuff we get for Hunter. It is just crazy to think he is going to be here in about 8 weeks. Time has flown by and we can't to meet him!!

31 1/2 weeks...He will be here SOON!!

29 Weeks and Counting :)

So I realized I have not written in a while, but really nothing has been going on. Not sure if I mentioned in an earlier blog but we have decided on a name for our little boy. Hunter James Hosmer. So excited for him to be here. I am currently 29 weeks 1 day, but this baby is measuring bigger so we will see when he comes, haha. He is quite the mover and kicker. Scott loves to watch my stomach move when he is moving around and has felt him move quite a bit. He loves his daddy so much already. I know Scott is going to be an excellent father. I went to the doctor this week and Hunter's heartbeat was good. The doctor said he might be a chubby baby, so we will have to wait and see. I will start going to the doctor every two weeks now. Its crazy how fast the time has gone. Only 11 more weeks to go.

My baby shower is going to be on the 14th of April. I can't wait for it and know my mom and sister Kelly are going to make it a super special day for everyone. Scott and I went to register last week at Target and Babies R Us. It was much fun but very overwhelming at the same time. Babies need so much stuff and Scott and I didn't know where to start. I think people were laughing at us at Target and the questions we were asking each other about the different things we were registering for. Luckily, my mom went with us to Babies R Us, which made that process a little easier and alot faster. I will put our registry links in here so if you want to check it out you can :)

My birthday is coming up soon, I'm still deciding if I am happy or not, haha. I turn the big 3-0 this year and I'm a little nervous. Although I have so much to be thankful for in my life right now, I really can't be too upset about getting older. That's all that's really going on right now with us. We hope all is going well with all of you.

Look out for Hunter Hosmer...He will be here before we know it :)
