So I still can't believe I am officially 30 years old. I still feel like a teenager sometimes. Although I had been dreading this day for the last couple of years, I have so much to be thankful for in my life, that I can feel nothing but happiness :) I have a great family, great job, great husband, and now a baby on the way. My actual birthday started off great, my mom and sister decorated my car and stole me from work and took me to lunch, and my wonderful husband brought me beautiful flowers to my work and made me feel so special. Also, when I got to work (I am trying not to take vacation due to the baby coming) my boss had decorated my cubicle and brought me a yummy cake and flowers. The first half of my day was wonderful, but unfortunately when I got home it got alot worse. Charlie had gotten sick and went to the bathroom all over the house. Not only that but we could tell something was really wrong with him, so we had to cancel our plans with my family to go to Farrell's (I have been wanting to go there since it opened down the street) and had to take Charlie to the Pet ER. To make a long story short, lots of tears, lots of tests, and 600 dollars later, we found out that Charlie had Gastroenteritis (which is a severe inflammation of the stomach and intestines). I ended up having to take the next day off and take him to the vet and get him some more antibiotics. We were supposed to go to San Diego over the weekend but at this point we weren't sure if that was going to happen. Luckily by Saturday afternoon, Charlie was doing alot better, so we decided to go to San Diego at least for the night, just so the room we booked didn't go to waste. Boy, am I glad we did!! Scott booked us a beautiful room. It was probably one of the nicest hotels we stayed at. Then we had a very nice dinner at PF Changs, so yummy!! Then we took a little walk and got some yogurt from Scott's favorite YogurtLand. Then we just relaxed and watched TV and cuddled the rest of the evening. It was just a nice change from all the drama and emotion from the previous 2 days. On Sunday, we slept in and went for a great lunch at this cool burger place called SmashBurger. Probably one of the best burgers I have had, and I love burgers. Although, it was less than 24 hours, it was nice that we were able to have some time together, especially since we probably won't have many more of these moments once the baby comes. Also, the next time we go away we will have a baby in tow :) I just love Scott so much and when we have times like this weekend it just shows me how lucky I am to have him in my life, not just now but forever <3 Also, I will get to go to Farrell's...my sister's birthday is on Tuesday so we are all going as a family to celebrate both our birthdays. You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream for ICE CREAM!!
