Great Day with Great Friends

Hello all, told you I was gonna be better about writing :) Anywho, after my semi-sad post of last I had to post something joyful. My life really isn't that bad, haha :)

We had the most amazing weekend this past weekend with good friends. Our friends David and Lindsay were in town with their two boys, Tyler and Travis, and it was so good to see and catch up with them. They moved to Colorado about 6 years ago and it is always a joy when we are reunited.

On Friday, we were able to meet up sans kids (Thanks MOM!!). We went to Claim Jumper for dinner - I first have to thank Lindsay for wanting to order and in turn getting me to order the most delicious pasta dish I have had in a long time. I got the absoulut tortelloni - cheese tortellini in a vodka tomato cream sauce topped with chicken, bacon, and parsley - can we say heaven :) Though the food was great, the company was better. It was so nice to be able to catch up without the distraction of the kids. What I find so hilarious about our conversation is that although we could not wait to be away from our children, that is what we talk the most about :) It was a lovely evening of just good food and good conversation - There really isn't anything better.

The next day, we met up with David, Lindsay and the kids, plus some of Lindsay and Davids family at Knotts Berry Farm. David and Lindsay both warned us they were going to spoil our kids and they didn't disappoint. Hunter had a day filled of ice cream, duck game, candy and a popper gun. What more could a 3 year old ask for. We had such a great time taking the kids on rides and just being with one another. Since we have passes we typically don't go to Knotts for more than 4 hours but this day we were there pretty much all day and we had a blast :) So thankful for all that these two did for our kids that day to make it even more special. When we come to Colorado next, it will be our turn to spoil Tyler and Travis :)

Having such a great time made us realize how much we miss them in California, but it also makes us super eager to get out to Colorado so we can make some more great memories together. So until next time Harris Family :)

Now for some pictures from our fun filled Knott's Day :)

"Brothers" with their boys :)

He is really enjoying his boysenberry ice cream cone - Thanks David and Lindsay

I think he is having a good time - what do you think?
